Arterial Blood Gas Analysis for Survival Prediction in Pediatric Patients with Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest.

ABSTRACT: Arterial blood gas analysis (ABGA) is one of the few tests performed during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). There have been some studies on the prediction of survival outcomes in adult out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) patients during CPR using ABGA results. However, in pediatric OHCA patients, the prognosis of survival outcome based on ABGA results during CPR remains unclear. We retrospectively analyzed prospectively collected data from the Korean Cardiac Arrest Resuscitation Consortium (KoCARC) registry, a multicenter OHCA registry of Republic of Korea. We analyzed 108 pediatric (age < 19 years) OHCA patients between October 2015 and June 2022.
