Most multigene mutation tests require tissue specimens. However, cytological specimens are easily obtained in the clinical practice and provide high-quality DNA and RNA. We aimed to establish a test that utilizes cytological specimens and performed a multi-institutional study to investigate the performance of MINtS, a test based on next-generation sequencing.
