Mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs and MPKs) are important in the process of resisting plant stress. In this study, 21, 12, 18, 16, and 10 <i>MPKs</i> were identified from <i>Musa acuminata</i>, <i>Musa balbisiana</i>, <i>Musa itinerans</i>, <i>Musa schizocarpa</i>, and <i>Musa textilis</i>, respectively.
