Complete genome sequence of a novel species of Brevundimonas (strain NIBR10).

ABSTRACT: The complete genome sequence of strain NIBR10 was sequenced using PacBio RS II (Pacific Biosciences) sequencing platform. The 4,006,378-bp genome has a G + C content of 66.89% and around 3,832 coding sequences. Genomic data will provide valuable research for natural taxonomy and comparative genomics of the genus Brevundimonas.

Complete genome sequence of a novel porcine enterovirus strain in China.

Project description:The porcine enteroviruses (PEVs) belong to the family Picornaviridae. We report a complete genome sequence of a novel PEV strain that is widely prevalent in pigs at least in central and eastern China. The complete genome consists of 7,390 nucleotides, excluding the 3' poly(A) tail, and has an open reading frame that maps between nucleotide positions 812 and 7318 and encodes a 2,168-amino-acid polyprotein. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 3CD and VP1 regions reveals that this PEV strain belongs to a species of PEV9 but may represent a novel sero-/genotype in CPE group III. We also report the major findings from bootscan analysis based on the whole genomes of PEVs in the present study and those available in GenBank.

Project description:We report the genome sequence of Clostridium sp. strain DL-VIII, a novel Gram-positive, endospore-forming, solventogenic bacterium isolated from activated anaerobic sludge of a wastewater treatment plant. Aside from a complete sol operon, the 6,477,357-bp genome of DL-VIII reveals genes for several unique enzymes with applications in lignocellulose degradation, including two phenolic acid decarboxylases.
