Copper single-atom alloy catalysts (M@Cu SAAs) have shown great promise for electrochemical CO<sub>2</sub> reduction reaction (CO<sub>2</sub>RR). However, a clear understanding of the CO<sub>2</sub>RR process on M@Cu SAAs is still lacking.
