Poly[[μ-1,3-bis-(pyridin-3-yl)urea]bis-(μ₄-glutarato)dicopper(II)].

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Cu₂(C₅H₆O₄)₂(C₁₁H₁₀N₄O)]_n, contains square-pyramidally coordinated Cu^II ions linked by anti-gauche conformation glutarate (glu) ligands into [Cu₂(glu)₂]_n di-periodic coordination polymer layers with embedded [Cu₂(OCO)₄] paddlewheel clusters. In turn, the layer motifs are connected by 1,3-di(pyridin-3-yl)urea (3-dpu) linkers to form a [Cu₂(glu)₂(3-dpu)]_n tri-periodic coordination polymer network. Treating the [Cu₂(OCO)₄] clusters as 6-connected nodes reveals an underlying 4¹²6³ pcu topology according to TOPOSPRO software [Blatov et al. (2014 ▸). Cryst. Growth Des. 14, 3576-3586].

Project description:In the title polymer, oligomeric stairsteps are composed of rhombus dimers of Cu2I2 that are bridged by 1,2-bis(pyridin-4-yl)ethene ligands. The title compound, {[CuI(bpe)]·0.25(bpe)}n, was synthesized similarly to (CuI)2(bpe) [Neal et al. (2019 ▸). IUCrData, 4, x190122] with red crystals grown from acetonitrile solutions of CuI and the bpe ligand [bpe = 1,2-bis(pyridin-4-yl)ethene, C12H10N2]. The structure of the title compound is a type 1 complex in the Graham nomenclature [Graham et al. (2000 ▸). Inorg. Chem. 39, 5121–5132], having rhombic dimers of Cu2I2 that are bridged by two bpe ligands, to form oligomeric ribbons arranged as stairsteps. The step height is 2.8072 (11) Å, which is the Cu—Ii distance of the dimer [symmetry code (i): 1 − x, 2 − y, 1 − z]. The slab motifs are expanded into the full crystal structure by means of longer-range C-H⋯O attractive inter-actions.

Project description:In the title complex, [Y(2)(C(5)H(6)O(4))(3)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)](n), three glutarate groups and two 1,10-phenanthroline mol-ecules surround the two Y(III) ions. Both Y(III) ions are coordinated by two N atoms from the 1,10-phenanthroline, seven O atoms from five glutarate groups in a distorted tricapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The Y(III) ions are bridged by glutarate ligands in three modes, forming a layered, polymeric structure. The resulting layers are assembled by π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.740 (3) and 3.571 (3) Å] into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(2)(NO(3))(2)(OH)(2)(C(12)H(8)N(4)O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](n), consists of a neutral polymeric Cu(II) complex in which each Cu(II) atom has a distorted octa-hedral geometry defined by a pyridyl N atom from a 3-(pyridin-3-yl)-5-(pyridin-4-yl)-1,2,4-oxadiazole ligand and five O atoms from a water mol-ecule, two nitrates and two hydroxides. Two Cu(II) ions are bridged by two hydroxide anions resulting in a Cu(2)O(2) loop, located across an inversion center and connected by the nitrate anions into a broad two-dimensional polymeric structure parallel to (100). In the crystal, there are O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the coodinated water mol-ecule and the nitrate and hydroxide, and between the hydroxide and the nitrate. Inter-molecular π-π inter-actions are present between pyridine rings in adjacent two-dimensional structures, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.582 (2) Å.

Project description:The title three-dimensional coordination polymer, [Cu(2)Cl(C(6)H(4)N(5))](n), is the product of the hydro-thermal reaction of CuCl(2)·2H(2)O and 5-(4-pyrid-yl)-1H-tetra-zole (4-Hptz). The two independent Cu(I) ions are coordinated in distorted tetra-hedral and distorted trigonal coordination environments. In the unique 5-(4-pyrid-yl)-1H-tetra-zolate ligand, the dihedral angle between the pyridine and tetra-zole rings is 17.3 (2)°.

Project description:The title urea derivative crystallizes as a monohydrate, C(19)H(27)N(3)O(2)·H(2)O. The central C(3)N grouping is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0092 Å), and the amide and pyridine groups are substanti-ally twisted out this plane [dihedral angles = 62.80 (12) and 34.98 (10)°, respectively]. Supra-molecular double chains propagating along the b-axis direction feature in the crystal packing whereby linear chains sustained by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds formed between the amide groups are linked by helical chains of water mol-ecules (linked by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds). The H atom that participates in these water chains is disordered over two positions of equal occupancy. The double chains are connected into a two-dimensional array by C-H⋯O contacts and the layers stack along the a axis.
