Dual hydration of oceanic lithosphere.

ABSTRACT: Water input budget of global oceanic lithosphere at different tectonic settings are quantitatively estimated. The results indicate that the hydration at subduction zone is fundamentally essential to plate dynamics and water cycle of the Earth.
