Ferroptosis, marked by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation, may present an Achilles heel for the treatment of cancers. Ferroptosis suppressor protein-1 (FSP1), as the second ferroptosis mainstay, efficiently prevents lipid peroxidation via NAD(P)H-dependent reduction of quinones.
