ABSTRACT: We observed that patients admitted to our hospital from a prestratified group of congregated living facilities had a numerically higher percentage of study-defined resistant organisms in sputum cultures compared to facilities without these characteristics [89.4% vs 78.3%, odds ratio [OR] = 2.34 (95% CI, 0.73-7.58)].
