ABSTRACT: Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), as the main type of lung cancer, has a long history of high incidence and mortality. Despite the continuous updates to the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging system, which adapt to evolving treatment modalities and diagnostic advancements, it is evident that patients at the same stage exhibit varying prognoses. The heterogeneity of tumors underscores the need for molecular diagnostics to assume a pivotal role in tumor staging and patient stratification.
