Bibliometric dataset (1995-2022) on green jobs: A comprehensive analysis of scientific publications.

ABSTRACT: The realm of green jobs presents a fertile ground for understanding the intersecting pathways between sustainable transition and the labor market. We have crafted a bibliometric dataset centered on this concept, amassing 414 articles from the Scopus and Web of Science databases, following a laid down protocol, PRISMA, spanning the period from 1995 to 2022. This endeavor aims to depict the dynamics, themes, and conceptual approaches shaping the discourse on green jobs. The dataset, structured around 13 descriptive variables such as authors, keywords, and cited references, is made available to researchers, institutions, and decision-makers to provide insight into the academic debates on ecological transition through the lens of employment, especially in the wake of a green economy. The potential for reutilizing these data is expansive. They can serve as a foundation for comparative analyses with the media and institutional portrayals of green jobs. Furthermore, the dataset can be enriched by integrating other forms of literature, such as books, chapters, or conference proceedings, while retaining the existing structure. This expansibility paves the way for a multidisciplinary and multilingual exploration, thereby enhancing the richness and diversity of possible analyses.

Project description:ObjectiveTo explore the development context, research hotspots, and frontiers of acupuncture therapy for cognitive impairment (CI) from 1992 to 2022 by visualization analysis.MethodsArticles about acupuncture therapy for cognitive impairment were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) until 1 March 2022. Basic information was collected by Excel 2007, and VOSviewer 1.6.17 was used to analyze the co-occurrence of countries, institutes, and authors. Co-citation maps of authors and references were analyzed by CiteSpace V.5.8.R3. In addition, CiteSpace was used to analyze keyword clusters and forecast research frontiers.ResultsA total of 279 articles were retrieved, including articles from 19 countries, 334 research institutes, and 101 academic journals. The most published country and institutes were the People's Republic of China (217) and the Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (40). Ronald C Petersen owned the highest co-citations (56). Keywords and co-cited references cluster showed the main research directions in this area, including "ischemic stroke," "cerebral ischemia/reperfusion," "mild cognitive impairment," "Alzheimer's disease," "vascular dementia," "vascular cognitive impairment with no dementia," "multi-infarct dementia," "synaptic injury," "functional MRI," "glucose metabolism," "NMDA," "nuclear factor-kappa b pathway," "neurotrophic factor," "matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2)," "tumor necrosis factor-alpha," "Bax," "Caspase-3," and "Noxa". Trending keywords may indicate frontier topics, such as "randomized controlled trial," "rat model," and "meta-analysis."ConclusionThis research provides valuable information for the study of acupuncture. Diseases focus on mild cognitive impairment (MCI), Alzheimer's disease (AD), and vascular dementia (VaD). Tauopathies with hyperphosphorylation of Tau protein as the main lesions also need to be paid attention to. The development of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) will better explain the therapeutic effect of acupuncture treatment. The effect of acupuncture on a single point is more convincing, and acupuncture on Baihui (GV20) may be needed in the future. Finally, the implementation of high-quality multicenter randomized controlled trials (RCTs) requires increased collaboration among experts from multiple fields and countries.

Project description:BackgroundModifying gut dysbiosis has achieved great success in managing type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and also T2DM affected the gut microbial composition.ObjectivesTo determine the research trend of scientific publications on the relationship between gut microbiota and T2DM through a bibliometric and descriptive approach.MethodWe included originals and reviews related to both topics of gut microbiota and T2DM through searching in Scopus up to 31 December 2019 and then characterized their bibliometric profiles including the number of publications, citations, institutions, journals, countries, and the collaboration network of authors, countries, terms and keywords. Moreover, we performed a descriptive evaluation of the clinical trials based on their intervention type and its influence on gut dysbiosis.ResultsWe achieved 877 articles (436 originals and 441 reviews) according to our inclusion criteria. The annual publications were constantly increased over time and reached 220 publications in 2019. Out of 436 original articles, 231 animal studies and 174 human studies were found. The majority of human studies were clinical trials (n = 77) investigating the influence of drugs (n = 21), regimens (n = 21), pre/pro/symbiotic (n = 19), surgeries (n = 15), or both drug and regimen (n = 1) on gut dysbiosis. Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and metformin were assessed the most in these trials. Obesity side by side T2DM has been assessed in this area of literature based on term and keyword analyses showing their possible similar pathways mediated by gut microbiota.ConclusionThe exponentially growing documents on gut microbiota and T2DM had been published during the last decade and revealed gut microbiota alteration mediated antidiabetic effect of many interventions. Thus, we suggest other researchers to consider this pathway in efficacy assessment of therapeutic modalities and to find the optimal composition of gut microbiota that guarantees healthy insulin sensitivity.Supplementary informationThe online version contains supplementary material available at 10.1007/s40200-021-00920-1.

Project description:BackgroundVirtual reality (VR) is a computer simulation technique that has been increasingly applied in pain management over the past 2 decades.ObjectiveIn this study, we used bibliometrics to explore the literature on VR and pain control, with the aim of identifying research progress and predicting future research hot spots.MethodsWe extracted literature on VR and pain control published between 2000 and 2022 from the Web of Science Core Collections and conducted bibliometric analyses. We analyzed the publication and citation trends in the past 2 decades, as well as publication and citation analyses of different countries, institutions, journals, and authors. For references, we conducted cocitation and burst analyses. For keywords, we conducted co-occurrence, clustering, timeline view, and citation burst analyses.ResultsBased on 1176 publications, we found that there was a continuous increase in publication and citation volumes, especially in the last 5 years. The United States was the most representative country, and the University of Washington was the most representative institution, with both having the most publications and citations. The most popular journal in this field was Burns, and Hoffman HG was the most productive author, leading many studies on patients with burn pain. The reference with the most citation burst was a study on the verification of new hardware in pain control. The keywords with the highest citation bursts related to various situations of pain such as "burn pain," "wound care," "low back pain," and "phantom limb."ConclusionsVR has been applied in various clinical situations for pain management, among which burns and pediatric surgery have achieved satisfactory results. We infer that VR will be extended to more clinical pain situations in the future, such as pain control in wound care, low back pain, and phantom limb pain. New research hot spots will include the development of software and hardware to improve the immersive experience of VR for pain control. However, our work was based solely on English literature from the Web of Science database. For future studies, we recommend that researchers explore literature from multiple databases to enhance the scope of their research.
