ABSTRACT: Liver transplantation (LT) is an effective and lifesaving treatment for patients with end-stage liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. Significant improvement in intermediate and long-term survival has been possible due to advancements in immunosuppressive therapy, perioperative care, and surgical techniques.
