Project description:Recently, the use of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) in the research and management of solid tumors has increased, making them a key focus in the field of oncology. In this study, we performed a comprehensive literature review of ADCs use in solid tumor treatment. We retrieved data from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). Following literature retrieval, we conducted a thorough bibliometric and knowledge-mapping analysis of the collected articles. There was a rapid growth in the number of annual publications in this field. The United States had the highest publication volumes and led ADC research for solid tumors. Additionally, The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute had the highest output, and G. Curigliano was identified as the most productive author. The journal "Cancers" led in the publishing of ADC research on solid tumors. Furthermore, key clustering terms such as "breast cancer," "targeted therapy," "bladder cancer," "ovarian cancer," "expression," and "drug delivery" emerged in this field as the research progressed. We identified six key themes by literature co-citation analysis, involving the research on the application of four ADCs in breast cancer, as well as the analysis of ADCs design, mechanisms, and strategies for reducing cytotoxicity. At the same time, based on the analysis of papers that have experienced a citation burst recently, we explored the future development trends of this field. Overall, our inaugural bibliometric analysis of ADCs for solid tumor research provides a systematic framework to guide future studies in this field. Therefore, facilitating and promoting further development in this area.

Project description:Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a profound neurodevelopmental disorder. Currently, the diagnosis of ADHD relies on clinical assessments and lacks objective testing. Research in electroencephalography (EEG) offers new hope for the diagnosis of ADHD, with researchers actively seeking objective EEG biomarkers. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of the application of EEG in ADHD, aiming to provide a brief overview of the characteristics, main research areas, development paths, and trends in this field. The Web of Science Core Collection was queried on June 10, 2024, to gather relevant scholarly works from the period of 2004 to 2023. Analysis was conducted using CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and Microsoft Excel 2019. In the past 20 years, 1162 documents qualified, with a swift rise in annual publications. The USA, University of London, and Barry RJ led in productivity and impact, while the Clinical Neurophysiology topped in publication volume and citations. High-frequency terms include "ADHD," "EEG," "event-related potentials (ERP)," "children," and "neurofeedback." Clustering key terms such as "cognitive control," "theta waves," "epilepsy," "graph theory," "machine learning," and "neurofeedback" form the cornerstone of the current core research areas. At the same time, a series of emerging research frontiers are gradually emerging, including "theta/beta ratio (TBR)," "P300 wave," "neurofeedback," and "deep learning." Over the past 2 decades, research on the application of EEG in ADHD has been burgeoning, with themes becoming increasingly profound. These insights provide key guidance on current trends, development trajectories, and future challenges in the field.

Project description:The local climate zone (LCZ) has been an important land surface classification used to differentiate urban climate between localities. The general knowledge maps of LCZ studies are needed when LCZ-related research has attracted great attention. This study integrated bibliometrics and critical review to understand the status quo and suggest future research directions. Bibliometrics provided a statistical technique to explore large volumes of article data from the Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and Scopus databases, based on the Co-Occurrence 13.4 (COOC) software. The bibliometric results indicated a rapid increase in LCZ publications and identified the high-frequency keywords which can be clustered into two groups, including a human thermal comfort-related group and the other urban climatology-related one. From 2011 to 2020, the effects of land use and urban morphology on urban climate and heat island effects predominated the LCZ-related research. Since 2021, the research focuses had shifted to the fields of thermal environment and heatwave, due to the growing demand for human thermal comfort and heat risk reduction. Moreover, this study identified ‘Land Surface Temperature’ and ‘Heatwave’ as two focuses of LCZ-related research during the last decade. Their critical reviews demonstrated the need for additional in-depth LCZ-heatwave studies that consider the risk of human exposure. This study also recommended incorporating hydrological concerns and social issues into the LCZ plan for a more integrated LCZ research outlook. Overall, this study provides not only a comprehensive understanding of LCZ knowledge networks, but also critical details on research focuses and potential research prospects. Project description:Heavy metal (HM)-induced stress can lead to the enrichment of HMs in plants thereby threatening people's lives and health via the food chain. For this reason, there is an urgent need for some reliable and practical techniques to detect and analyze the absorption, distribution, accumulation, chemical form, and transport of HMs in plants for reducing or regulating HM content. Not only does it help to explore the mechanism of plant HM response, but it also holds significant importance for cultivating plants with low levels of HMs. Even though this field has garnered significant attention recently, only minority researchers have systematically summarized the different methods of analysis. This paper outlines the detection and analysis techniques applied in recent years for determining HM concentration in plants, such as inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS), X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS), non-invasive micro-test technology (NMT) and omics and molecular biology approaches. They can detect the chemical forms, spatial distribution, uptake and transport of HMs in plants. For this paper, the principles behind these techniques are clarified, their advantages and disadvantages are highlighted, their applications are explored, and guidance for selecting the appropriate methods to study HMs in plants is provided for later research. It is also expected to promote the innovation and development of HM-detection technologies and offer ideas for future research concerning HM accumulation in plants.

Project description:BackgroundGlobally, several generations of doctors in the field of lymphedema have created numerous publications. To date, no bibliometric analysis has been performed specifically on these publications. For the further promotion of research on lymphedema and to align with the international research frontiers, it is essential to understand the current state of Lymphedema research output.ObjectiveThis study aims to statistically and visually analyze the characteristics of publications output, distribution of contributions and development process of lymphedema, enriching the knowledge base of Lymphedema, and then seek potential research topics and collaborators.MethodsBased on the Web of Science core collection database, we firstly analyzed the quantity and quality of publications in the field of lymphedema, secondly profiled the publishing groups in terms of country, institution, author's publication and cooperation network, and finally sorted out and summarized the hot topics of research.ResultsA total of 8569 papers were retrieved from 1900-2021. The top4 journals with the most publications were LYMPHOLOGY, LYMPHATIC RESEARCH AND BIOLOGY, PLASTIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY and ANNALS OF SURGICAL ONCOLOGY. The top 4 countries with the most publications were USA, Japan, UK, and China. The United States dominates the total number of publications and the international cooperation network. The most productive research institution is Harvard University, and the research institution with the most collaborating institutions is Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Mortimer, Peter S contributes the most research in this field. The research achievements of Japanese scholars in this field are of great significance. The top 5 ranked keywords are "Breast Cancer", "Health-Related Quality Of Life", "Lymphscintigraphy", "Lymphovenous Anastomosis", and "Lymphangiogenesis".ConclusionMore and more scholars are devoted to the research of cancer-related Lymphedema. It is foreseeable that breast cancer-related lymphedema and lymphangiogenesis will remain a focus of future research. Advances in Lymphatic vessel imaging and the development of lymphatic microsurgery will further play a role in the clinical workup of lymphedema. Meanwhile, This study can help researchers identify potential collaborators and partner institutions and contribute to further research.

Project description:This bibliometric study of a large publication set dealing with research on climate change aims at mapping the relevant literature from a bibliometric perspective and presents a multitude of quantitative data: (1) The growth of the overall publication output as well as (2) of some major subfields, (3) the contributing journals and countries as well as their citation impact, and (4) a title word analysis aiming to illustrate the time evolution and relative importance of specific research topics. The study is based on 222,060 papers (articles and reviews only) published between 1980 and 2014. The total number of papers shows a strong increase with a doubling every 5-6 years. Continental biomass related research is the major subfield, closely followed by climate modeling. Research dealing with adaptation, mitigation, risks, and vulnerability of global warming is comparatively small, but their share of papers increased exponentially since 2005. Research on vulnerability and on adaptation published the largest proportion of very important papers (in terms of citation impact). Climate change research has become an issue also for disciplines beyond the natural sciences. The categories Engineering and Social Sciences show the strongest field-specific relative increase. The Journal of Geophysical Research, the Journal of Climate, the Geophysical Research Letters, and Climatic Change appear at the top positions in terms of the total number of papers published. Research on climate change is quantitatively dominated by the USA, followed by the UK, Germany, and Canada. The citation-based indicators exhibit consistently that the UK has produced the largest proportion of high impact papers compared to the other countries (having published more than 10,000 papers). Also, Switzerland, Denmark and also The Netherlands (with a publication output between around 3,000 and 6,000 papers) perform top-the impact of their contributions is on a high level. The title word analysis shows that the term climate change comes forward with time. Furthermore, the term impact arises and points to research dealing with the various effects of climate change. The discussion of the question of human induced climate change towards a clear fact (for the majority of the scientific community) stimulated research on future pathways for adaptation and mitigation. Finally, the term model and related terms prominently appear independent of time, indicating the high relevance of climate modeling.

Project description:BackgroundCentral venous catheters are associated with a significantly increased risk of venous thrombosis due to a variety of factors. This bibliometric study analyzed the current research status in the field of central venous catheterization associated thrombosis.MethodsRelated literatures in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) database were identified using the search terms "central venous catheter" and "thrombosis". The CiteSpace software was used to analysis literature data including country, institution, author, and journal distribution characteristics, as well as the use of keywords, and the number of times the country, institution, author, or journal were cited. Co-occurrence maps between countries, institutions, authors, and keywords were constructed.ResultsA total of 2,810 related literature records were identified, with a total of 29,920 citations. The number of documents and the number of citations generally showed an increasing annual trend. These documents were mainly published from developed countries in Europe and North America, including USA, Britain, Italy, and France. Cooperation between institutions tended to be limited to the same country, and collaboration between authors tended to be within the same institutions. Keyword analysis demonstrated that in recent years, the research on thrombosis related to central venous catheterization has been more targeted, with an increasing focus on evidence-based medicine.ConclusionsFuture research may focus more on the prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment of asymptomatic central venous catheterization-related thrombosis.

Project description:AimBibliometric and data visualization methods were used to identify the current status, key areas, and emerging frontiers in ropivacaine research.MethodsWe conducted a comprehensive search of the Web of Science database for publications related to ropivacaine published from 2000 to 2023. The publication types were limited to original articles and reviews. We utilized CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and the online bibliometric platform to visualize and analyze the collected data.ResultsA total of 4,147 publications related to ropivacaine were identified, with a consistent growth in annual publications over time. The United States emerged as the most influential country in the field of ropivacaine research, and ranked first in the annual number of publications until 2014. China surpassed the United States in the number of publications for the first time in 2015 and has remained in first place ever since. Of all the research institutions in the field of ropivacaine, University of Copenhagen in Denmark exhibited the highest impact. Brian M. Ilfeld and Casati A were identified as the most influential authors. The leading researchers in this field primarily focused their publications on continuous nerve blocks for postoperative analgesia and ultrasound-guided nerve block techniques. An analysis of reference co-citation clustering revealed 18 distinct research clusters, with current hotspots including erector spinae plane block, dexmedetomidine, quadratus lumborum block, labor analgesia, and mitochondrial respiration. Additionally, keywords analysis indicated that "dexmedetomidine as an adjuvant in nerve blocks" currently represents a research hotspot in the field of ropivacaine.ConclusionThis bibliometric analysis provides a comprehensive overview of the research landscape in ropivacaine. It reveals research trends in this field and emerging areas for future investigations. Notably, the application of ropivacaine in nerve blocks is a prominent focus in current research, with a particular emphasis on its combination with dexmedetomidine.

Project description:With the rapid global spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, researchers have contributed several important advances. The WHO and countries with severe outbreaks have developed diagnosis and treatment guidelines. Here, we analyze the current transformation and application of scientific research to global epidemic prevention and control. We described and analyzed current COVID-19 research from the perspectives of international cooperation, interdisciplinary cooperation, and research hotspots using a bibliometric clustering algorithm. Using the diagnosis and treatment guidelines of the WHO and the United States and China as examples, we evaluate the transformation of scientific results from basic research to applications. Scientific research results that have not yet been incorporated into these guidelines are summarized to encourage updates and improvements by applying scientific research to prevention and control. COVID-19 has fostered interdisciplinary cooperative research, and the current results are mainly focused on the origin, epidemiological characteristics, clinical research, and diagnosis and treatment methods for the virus. Due to the ongoing publication of new research, diagnosis and treatment guidelines are constantly improving. However, some research gaps still exist, and some results have not yet been incorporated into the guidelines. The current research is still in the preliminary exploratory stage, and some problems, such as weak international cooperation, unbalanced interdisciplinary cooperation, and the lack of coordination between research and applications, exist. Therefore, countries around the world must improve the International Public Health Emergency Management System and prepare for major public health emergencies in the future.

Project description:The soil's rhizosphere is a highly active place where the exchange of substances and information occurs among plants, soils, and microorganisms. The microorganisms involved are crucial to the activities of plant growth and development, metabolism, and reproduction. Fritillaria L. medicinal plants are unique Chinese medicinal ingredients, but the continuous cropping obstacles formed in the artificial planting process is severely harmful to the growth and development of these medicinal plants. In this review, we summarized the current species and distribution of Fritillaria L. in China, and analyzed the changes in microbial diversity (mainly among bacteria and fungi) in the rhizosphere of these plants under long-term continuous cropping. The fungi showed an increasing trend in the soil rhizosphere, resulting in the transition of the soil from the high-fertility "bacterial type" to the low-fertility "fungal type" as planting years increased. Furthermore, the interaction between Fritillaria L. medicinal plants and the rhizosphere microorganisms was reviewed, and promising applications for the rhizosphere microbiome in the cultivation of Fritillaria L. medicinal plants were suggested. It is expected that this review will facilitate the in-depth understanding of rhizosphere microorganisms in the growth, accumulation of active ingredients, and disease control of Fritillaria L.
