A Biotinylated Glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) as the Universal Platform To Access GPI-Anchored Protein Analogues.


ABSTRACT: A glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) derivative with biotin linked to its mannose III 6-O-position was prepared by a convergent strategy. This biotinylated GPI was demonstrated to bind avidinated proteins readily through biotin-avidin interaction and, therefore, can serve as a universal platform to access various biologically significant GPI-anchored protein analogues.
