The genome sequence of the Saxon Wasp, Dolichovespula saxonica (Fabricius, 1793).

ABSTRACT: We present a genome assembly from an individual male Dolichovespula saxonica (the Saxon Wasp; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Vespidae). The genome sequence is 221.8 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 26 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 18.97 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 10,856 protein coding genes.
