Pheochromocytoma: Secondary Hypertension in Pregnancy.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Secondary hypertension can occur from a variety of renal and endocrine disorders. Pheochromocytoma, a rare catecholamine-secreting neuroendocrine tumor, is associated with adverse maternal and fetal outcomes in the absence of a timely diagnosis and a coordinated multidisciplinary approach. Clues to diagnosis include resistant hypertension or an adrenal mass on imaging.
