Severe Aortic Regurgitation Due to Aortic Valve Injury During Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Iatrogenic acute aortic regurgitation (AR) is an uncommon condition, and its presentation as severe AR following coronary angiography or percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is exceedingly rare. We report a case of iatrogenic severe AR resulting from aortic valve injury caused by manipulation of the guiding catheter during PCI.
