The Nb atom is situated on a site of symmetry , and the PF(6) (-) anion has crystallographic fourfold symmetry.

Synthesis and crystal structure of a bench-stable pyridinium ketene hemiaminal: 1-(1-ethoxyethenyl)-2-[methyl(phenyl)amino]pyridin-1-ium trifluoromethanesulfonate

Project description:The N-quaternized ketene N,O-acetal, 1-(1-ethoxyvinyl)-2-(methyl(phenyl)amino)pyridin-1-ium trifluoromethanesulfonate was synthesized and its structure determined, making it a rare example of this class of compounds to be structurally characterized. The novel bench-stable N-quaternized ketene N,O-acetal, C16H19N2O+·CF3O3S−, was synthesized and its structure determined. The title compound is a rare example of a pyridinium ketene hemiaminal for which a crystal structure has been determined, joining the 2-chloro-1-(1-ethyoxyethenyl)pyridin-1-ium trifluoromethanesulfonate salt from which it was synthesized. The cationic species of the title compound can be defined by three individually planar fragments assembling into a non-coplanar cation. The phenyl substituent extending from the amino nitrogen atom and the ethyoxyvinyl substituent extending from the pyridine N atom are oriented on the same side of the molecule and maintain the closest coplanar relationship of the three fragments. Supramolecular interactions are dominated by C—H⋯O interactions from the cation to the SO3 side of the trifluoromethanesulfonate anion, forming a two-dimensional substructure.

Project description:The title compound, C(7)H(14)N(3) (+)·C(25)H(40)N(3)O(4)Si(2) (-)·CH(3)CN, was obtained by the reaction of 2-nitro-1,3-di(pyridin-2-yl)-1,3-di(tert-butyl-dimethyl-sil-yloxy)propane with 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexa-hydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine. Two hydrogen bonds stabilize the Lewis acid/base pair of the nitro-nate and the guanidinium moiety with N⋯O distances of 2.772 (3) and 2.732 (3) Å. Both hydrogen atoms are more closely bound to the guanidinium [N-H distances of 0.83 (3) and 0.93 (3) Å] than to the nitro-nate moiety. The nitro-nate is double-bonded to the respective carbon with an N=C bond length of 1.316 (3) Å.

Project description:The title compound, C(12)H(17)N(5)O, was obtained by cyclo-condensation of 2,4-diamino-pyrimidine-5-carbonitrile with cyclo-hepta-none. The tetra-hydro-pyrimidine ring has a dis-torted boat conformation and the cyclo-heptane ring adopts a chair conformation. In the crystal, molecules are linked via N-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds generating a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title compound, C(6)H(9)N(2)S(+)·Cl(-)·CH(4)N(2)S, the 4,6-di-methyl-2-thioxo-1,2-dihydro-pyrimidin-3-ium cation is proton-ated at one of the pyrimidine N atoms. The cations are bridged by the chloride anions through a pair of N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. The amino groups of each thio-urea adduct inter-act with the chloride anions through a pair of N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds and the S atom of another thio-urea adduct through a pair of N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds. These inter-actions result in a layered hydrogen-bonded network propagating parallel to the bc plane. Except for two H atoms, all atoms are on special positions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(4)H(5)N(2)O)(2)[Cu(2)Cl(6)(C(4)H(4)N(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O, consists of one cation, one half of a centrosymmetric dianion and one water mol-ecule. The centrosymmetric dianion formed by dimerization in the crystal structure has neutral pyrimidin-2-one ligands coordinated to each copper(II) centre through Cu-N bonds. The Cu atoms each have a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry, with the N atom of the pyrimidin-2-one ligand in an axial position, and dimerize by sharing two equatorial Cl atoms. N-H⋯Cl, O-H⋯Cl and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the anions, cations and water mol-ecules, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compound, (C(8)H(8)N(5))(2)[Mo(6)O(19)], was prepared by reaction of Mo(CO)(6) and dipyrimidylamine in refluxing toluene. The hexa-nuclear polyoxomolybdate anions lie on centres of inversion. Each 2-(pyrimidin-2-ylamino)pyrimidinium cation forms an intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond and the cations are linked through self-complementary pairs of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds into dimers across centres of inversion. The cations and anions are inter-linked through C-H⋯O contacts.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, C(12)H(16)N(5) (+)·I(-), shows that the methyl-ation reaction with CH(3)I occurred at the imine N atom at position 5 of the 3,6,7,8a-tetra-hydro-2H-diimidazo[1,2-c:1',2'-e]pyrido[1,2-a][1,3,5]triazine system. In the cation, the sp(3)-hybridized C atom belonging to the fused dihydro-pyrine and dihydro-1,3,5-triazine rings deviates by 0.514 (3) Å from the best plane defined by the remaining cationic non-H atoms. The fused dihydro-pyridine and dihydro-1,3,5-triazine rings are each in a half-chair conformation with the sp(3)-hybridized C atom as a flap. The iodide anion is 3.573 (2) Å from the methyl-ated N atom and exhibits five short C-H⋯I(-) contacts with distances less than 3.16 Å. The structure has been determined from a non-merohedral twin with twin law [-1 0 0 0 - 1 0 0.115 0 1], minor domain = 0.1559 (12).

Project description:A substituted hydropyrazino[1,2-a]pyrimidin-6-one derivative was synthesized stereoselectively via the intramolecular N-acyliminium ion cyclization between an amide nitrogen and an N(α)-acetal derived from Cbz-protected aminopropyl-phenylalaninamide in very good yields. The formation of a single diastereomer is due to the low energy chairlike conformation of its bicyclic structure. This methodology provides a convenient tool to build internal bicyclic peptidomimetics.
