The genome sequence of a soldier beetle, Cantharis rufa (Linnaeus, 1758).

ABSTRACT: We present a genome assembly from an individual male Cantharis rufa (soldier beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Cantharidae). The genome sequence is 355.3 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 7 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 17.34 kilobases in length.
