Matrix-associated autologous chondrocyte implantation (MACI) is a 2-step technique designed to treat symptomatic full-thickness articular cartilage defects of the knee. In this technique article, MACI (autologous cultured chondrocytes on porcine collagen membrane) is used to treat a femoral trochlear defect of the knee.
