The genus <i>Hivanua</i><b>gen. nov.</b> is established for the harmochirine jumping spiders of the Marquesas Islands, formerly placed in <i>Habronattus</i> F.O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1901 and <i>Havaika</i> Prószyński, 2002.
