An updated review of the genus Toxorhina Loew, 1850 (Diptera, Limoniidae) from Yunnan, China with a description of a new species.

ABSTRACT: Seven species of the genus Toxorhina Loew, 1850 have been recorded from China, of which three are known to occur in Yunnan Province. Herein, all known species from Yunnan, China are reviewed with more detailed descriptions and illustrations of the male hypopygium. A species of Toxorhina belonging to the subgenus Ceratocheilus Wesché, 1910 from Yunnan, T. (C.) pianmicasp. nov., is described and illustrated as new to science.
