KCNQ1/Kv7, a low-voltage-gated K<sup>+</sup> channel, regulates cardiac rhythm and glucose homeostasis. While <i>KCNQ1</i> mutations are associated with long-QT syndrome and type2 diabetes, its function in human pancreatic cells remains controversial.
