Described originally from Heilongjiang, China, <i>Odontothrips phaseoli</i> is a potential pest of threatening bean plant in northern China. The complete mitochondrial genome of <i>O. phaseoli</i> was sequenced and assembled, with a total length of 15,540 bp. Within this genome, 37 genes have been identified: 13 PCGs, 22 tRNAs, two rRNAs, and two putative control regions.
