Insomnia and other sleep disorders in adolescence.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Sleep is important for our survival. Research suggests that getting 'good' sleep is a problem for a proportion of adolescents. The paper advocates for holistic treatment of sleep disorders incorporating expertise from a multidisciplinary team. Much of the assessment and treatment of sleep disorders in adolescents comes from research within adult populations, therefore, there is a need for further research to be completed within the adolescent population to ensure there is a robust evidence base for assessment and treatment of sleep disorders.
