In this paper, we report the effect of MnS nanoparticles on the electrochemical performance of 1D-MnO<sub>2</sub> stable nanorods for supercapacitor electrodes. The MnS-incorporated 1D-MnO<sub>2</sub> (MnO<sub>2</sub>/MnS) nanorods were produced using a facile two-step hydrothermal method. Morphological investigation reveals that the incorporation of MnS nanoparticles distorts the lattice fringes and extends the interlayer spacing of the MnO<sub>2</sub> nanorods.
