<i>Typha angustifolia</i>, commonly known as narrowleaf cattail, is a marginal, semi-aquatic, herbaceous perennial species with both ecological and edible values. In this study, the complete chloroplast (cp) genome of <i>T. angustifolia</i> was assembled using the next-generation sequencing technology.
