Nucleotidyltransferases (NTases) control diverse physiological processes, including RNA modification, DNA replication and repair, and antibiotic resistance. The Mycobacterium tuberculosis NTase toxin family, MenT, modifies tRNAs to block translation. MenT toxin activity can be stringently regulated by diverse MenA antitoxins.
