Development and validation of a nomogram to estimate fatigue probability in hemodialysis patients.

ABSTRACT:

Objective

This study aims to investigate the factors that influence fatigue in hemodialysis (HD) patients and to develop and validate a nomogram to estimate the probability of fatigue in this population.

Methods

This cross-sectional study collected 453 patients who underwent HD at the tertiary hospital in Hubei, China, from April to December 2023. They were randomly divided into a 70% training group (n = 316) and a 30% validation group (n = 137). In the training set, factors influencing fatigue were screened using multivariate logistic regression analysis, and a nomogram was developed to estimate fatigue probability in HD patients.
