ABSTRACT:

Background

Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and megavoltage computed tomography (MVCT)-based images demonstrate measurable radiomics features that are potentially prognostic. This study aims to systematically synthesize the current research applying radiomics in head and neck cancers for outcome prediction and to assess the radiomics quality score (RQS) of the studies.

Methods

A systematic search was performed to identify available studies on PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus databases. Studies related to radiomics in oncology/radiotherapy fields and based on predefined Patient, Intervention, Comparator, Outcome, and Study design (PICOS) criteria were included.
