Association between waist circumference and sleep disorder in the elderly: Based on the NHANES 2005-2018.

ABSTRACT: The existing data do not consistently support the link between elderly adults' waist circumferences and sleep disorders. This study aimed to evaluate whether waist circumference was connected with sleep disorder in the elderly. This cross-sectional study utilized data from the 2005-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) regarding waist circumference, sleep disorders, and confounding factors. Included in the study were participants older than 60 who completed sleep questionnaires and waist circumference measurements.
