ABSTRACT: Background
Drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE) affects approximately one-third of epilepsy patients who do not achieve adequate seizure control with medication. Vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) is an adjunctive therapy for DRE, but its long-term effects on cortical excitability remain unclear.Objectives
