Chlorocilliumsinense sp. nov. (Clavicipitaceae) and Calcarisporiumguizhouense sp. nov. (Calcarisporiaceae) in Hypocreales from China.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Two new species, Chlorocilliumsinense and Calcarisporiumguizhouense, isolated from a spider and fruiting body of Cordyceps sp., are introduced. Morphological comparisons and phylogenetic analyses based on multigene datasets (ITS+LSU+RPB2+tef-1alpha) support the establishment of the new species. A combined dataset of ITS, LSU, RPB2, and tef-1alpha showed the taxonomic placement of Chlorocillium in Clavicipitaceae for the first time. Pseudometarhizium is regarded as a synonym of Chlorocillium and two Pseudometarhizium species are transferred into the latter based on the phylogenetic analysis and morphological characteristics.
