Introduction

A bidirectional relationship has been observed between type 2 diabetes mellitus and sarcopenia, especially among older adults. While previous studies have reported that imeglimin improves mitochondrial function, they have not assessed its effects on muscle strength in patients with type 2 diabetes. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the effects of imeglimin on muscle strength in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Methods

In this prospective cohort study, we recruited consenting patients with type 2 diabetes (20-75 years).
