Association between the triglyceride-glucose index and spine fracture: A cross-sectional study of American adults.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: It is yet unknown how spine fracture in adults relate to the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index. This study investigated the link between TyG index and spine fracture in the adult population of the United States by analyzing information derived from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Ultimately, this study comprised 10,187 participants was drawn from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2005-2010, 2013-2014, and 2017-2020). The Participants were divided into quartiles by the TyG index, and correlations between the TyG index and spine fracture were found using subgroup statistical analysis, restricted cubic spline curves, receiver operating characteristic analysis, and weighted multiple regression. Eventually, we carried 10,187 individuals, of whom 211 (2.1
