Despite the enormous importance of chromone and flavonoid piperidine alkaloids, a general method for their synthesis has not been described. Accordingly, from simple tetrahydro-3-pyridinemethanols (<b>A</b>) and phenol derivatives (<b>B</b>), a synthetic approach to chromone and flavonoid piperidine alkaloids is presented.
