Radical-Scavenging Violet Phosphorus Nanosheets for Attenuating Hyperinflammation and Promoting Infected Wound Healing.

ABSTRACT: Antibacterial therapy targeting the regulation of macrophage polarization may be a useful approach for normalizing the immune environment and accelerating wound healing. Inspired by black phosphorus-based nanoplatforms, more stable yet less-explored violet phosphorus nanosheets (VPNSs) are expected to provide a superior solution for effectively combating bacterial infections. In this study, an average thickness of 5-7 nm VPNSs are fabricated through the liquid-phase exfoliation method to serve as an immunoregulatory dressing for the treatment of infected wounds. VPNSs attenuated excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reduced the accumulation of proinflammatory M1 macrophages, showing notable antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Comprehensive RNA sequencing further elucidated
