Methyl 2-[(<i>Z</i>)-5-methyl-2-oxoindolin-3-yl-idene]hydrazinecarbodi-thio-ate.

ABSTRACT: The title di-thio-carbazate imine, C₁₁H₁₁N₃OS₂, was obtained from the condensation reaction of S-methyl-dithio-carbazate (SMDTC) and 5-methyl-isatin. It shows a Z configuration about the imine C=N bond, which is associated with an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond that closes an S(6) ring. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairwise N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R ² ₂(8) loops. The extended structure features C-H⋯S contacts as well as reciprocal carbon-yl-carbonyl (C=O⋯C=O) inter-actions.
