Robotic-Assisted Radical Cystectomy and Acute Intraoperative Hyperkalemia: A Case Series.


ABSTRACT: Taking into consideration the effects of pneumoperitoneum on kidney function, anesthesiologists should diligently monitor potassium levels during robotic-assisted radical cystectomy, particularly during prolonged ureter clamping, in the presence of chronic kidney disease, administration of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system-blocking medications, or when there is a high risk of rhabdomyolysis.
