ABSTRACT: To assess caregivers' and community members' perspectives on a potential communication framework for pediatricians to provide firearm safety counseling in primary care via focus groups. Participants recommended embedding the topic within injury prevention counseling, sharing information on safe storage, and screening for storage strategies rather than gun ownership.
