Lip and oral cavity cancer in Iran from 1990 to 2019 based on the global burden of disease study.

ABSTRACT: The global burden of disease (GBD) provides valid and reliable assessments of the burden of various diseases. The present study aimed to evaluate the trends of incidence, mortality, and morbidity of lips and oral cavity cancers (LOCC) in Iran from 1990 to 2019 according to GBD 2019 data. Indicators including prevalence, incidence, death, years of life lost (YLL), years lived with disability (YLD), disability adjusted life years (DALY), and mortality-to-incidence ratio (MIR) for two genders and three age groups including 15-49 years, 50-69 years, and 70 + years in Iran were extracted from GBD 2019/calculated.
