Accessing unsymmetric ketones and achieving their carbon isotope labeling are crucial yet challenging tasks in both synthetic and medicinal chemistry. We report here an efficient electrochemical nickel-/cobalt-catalyzed carbonylative cross-electrophile coupling reaction.
