Background

Missed nursing care (MNC) is a major challenge faced by nurses working in intensive care units (ICU). Workplace characteristics, including teamwork and workload, can affect the extent of missed nursing care. Examining the relationship between these variables can help create strategies to enhance care. Thus, this study aimed to explore the connection between teamwork, workload, and missed nursing care in the intensive care units of hospitals in Iran.

Methods

This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from August to November 2023 on 219 nurses working in the intensive care units of teaching hospitals affiliated with Hamadan University of Medical Sciences.
