ABSTRACT: Background
Guanosine triphosphate cyclohydrolase 1 (GCH1) gene rs11158026 polymorphism was suggested to be associated with Parkinson disease (PD) risk; however, the conclusions remain controversial. Thus, we performed a meta-analysis to investigate the association between GCH1 rs11158026 polymorphism and PD susceptibility. Methods
The literature was searched from electronic databases such as PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, Web of Science, and Chinese national knowledge infrastructure until March 1, 2024. The odds ratio (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) were used to assess the relationship between the GCH1 rs11158026 polymorphism and PD susceptibility. Data analysis was processed by Stata 12.0 software. Results
Six articles with 4091 cases and 4863 control
