ABSTRACT: Lycoperdaceae (Agaricales, Agaricomycetes) is a taxonomically significant fungal family based on the globally distributed and morphologically defined puffball structures. In the present study, one new genus, Lycoperdia, and three new species, viz. Calvatiaphlebioides, Lycoperdiatomentosa, and Morganellaminima, collected from southern China are proposed based on a combination of morphological characteristics and molecular evidence. Calvatiaphlebioides is characterized by broadly obpyriform to turbinate basidiomes and globose to subglobose basidiospores with a short pedicel. Lycoperdiatomentosa is characterized by pyriform basidiomes, tomentose exoperidium, and globose to subglobose basidiospores with a long pedicel. Morganellaminima is charac
