Exploration of the anticancer efficacy of a novel 1,3-thiazole analog in an ehrlich ascites carcinoma model: in vivo and in silico insights into hepatorenal protective potentials via the modulation of apoptosis, oxidative stress and inflammation.

ABSTRACT: Thiazoles, as a class of compounds, offer a diverse array of analogs that are pivotal in the rational design of anticancer agents. Recently, we reported a novel 1,3-thiazole analog, 2-(1-(2-(4-(4-bromophenyl)thiazol-2-yl)hydrazinylidene)ethyl)phenol (BTHP), that exhibited potential cytotoxic activity toward breast cancer cells. In the present study, we extended our investigations to explore the anticancer potential of BTHP in Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma (EAC)-administrated female Swiss albino mice. Our findings revealed that, compared with the control group, the expression levels of antioxidant enzymes significantly decreased in the EAC-induced model group, while the level of lipid peroxidation substantially increased. Furthermore, the administration of EAC impaired hepatorenal function, as
