The Association Between Uterine Artery Pulsatility Index at Mid-Gestation and the Method of Conception: A Cohort Study.

ABSTRACT: Background and Objectives: Pregnancies resulting from assisted reproductive technology (ART) have been associated with placenta-related adverse outcomes. Uterine artery Doppler pulsatility index (UtA-PI) reflects placental function. This study aimed to examine whether second-trimester UtA-PI differs according to the conception method after adjusting for potential confounding factors. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, we included data from February 2015 to August 2024, at the third Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, on singleton pregnancies presenting for their routine antenatal care, including a second-trimester anomaly scan.
