ABSTRACT: Background
Crinum macowanii is a therapeutic plant acknowledged for its rich phytochemical profile and traditional medicinal uses. Research on endophytic fungi has surged due to their ability to produce bioactive secondary metabolites, many of which have antimicrobial and antiproliferative or cytotoxic properties. This study evaluated the diversity, antimicrobial and antiproliferative potential, and metabolomic profiles of fungal endophytes isolated from C. macowanii. Results
Fungal endophytes were isolated from fresh leaves and bulbs of C. macowanii collected from a botanical garden. The endophytes were identified using cultural and molecular techniques, and sequences were deposited in GenBank. Crude secondary metabolites were extracted from the fungal endophytes by ferment
