An effective fluorescent sensor for lipopolysaccharide-induced H2S detection and imaging in inflammatory cells, zebrafish, and mouse blood samples.

ABSTRACT: In this work, a new fluorescent sensor (NAHCP) for the recognition of lipopolysaccharide-induced H2S detection and imaging in inflammatory Raw264.7 cells, zebrafish, and mouse blood samples was constructed. Based on the o-aldehyde group (o-CHO) auxiliary 2,4-dinitrophenyl ether (DNP) group sulfide cleavage, this sensor shows high sensitivity and selectivity towards H2S, which can realize fluorescence "turn-on" detection. This sensor also features a very high response speed (∼2 min) and a large Stokes shift (113 nm) toward H2S. Additionally, the excellent detection limit (LOD) for H2S is as low as 25.6 nM. Impressively, this o-CHO auxiliary DNP group sulfide cleavage ensemble is further successfully applied for H2S
