Health-related quality of life among adult hypertensive patients globally: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Abstract

Objective

This study aimed to assess the quality of life of hypertensive patients in the world.

Design

Systematic review and meta-analysis using observational studies was done.

Data sources

EMBASE, Scopus, PubMed/MEDLINE, Google Scholar and published and unpublished articles were used.

Eligibility criteria

Observational studies reporting Health Related Quality of Life among hypertensive adults (>18 years) were included. Published studies, relevant abstracts and grey literature in English up to May 2024 were considered. Studies without the outcome of interest, inaccessible even after two email attempts, case reports, low-quality papers and review articles were excluded.
